Fees & Rebates

Amaroo Psychology is a registered provider under the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health Care Initiative.

With a referral from your General Practitioner (GP) or Psychiatrist, you may be eligible to claim a Medicare rebate of $96.65 per 50-minute consultation. A 50-60 minute consultation is $200.

​

You can access up to 10 rebated sessions per calendar year through a Mental Health Treatment Plan. Your GP or Psychiatrist will initially refer you for 6 sessions, with the option for additional referrals if further support is required.

Other pathways to access Amaroo Psychology:

​

• You may be eligible for psychological services through your private health insurance, check with your insurer.

​

• You can access psychological services via self-managed NDIS funding

​

• ​You can access psychological services without a GP referral, this option does not have the medicare rebate.
